Kafni Glacier Trek

Introduction-

One of the finest and most beautiful regions of the Himalaya, the Kumaon region, offers a variety of hiking paths for thrill seekers. Kumaon enchants travellers and even those who are inexperienced to hiking with its steep mountains, secluded towns, unmatched charm, and unspoiled visual splendour. The Kafni Glacier trip is one that takes hikers to isolated areas of Uttarakhand and gives them the chance to camp on expansive meadows. Every time you turn, the scenery changes, and the trail presents a variety of difficulties, from becoming lost in the jungle on the way to Phurkia to the spectacular sight of Nanda Khat mountain towering above, to crossing a lovely river and passing a brilliant waterfall on the journey from Dhakuri to Dwali.

Kafni Glacier Trek

Trekking Tour Highlights -

The Kafni Glacier Trek is quite similar to the Pindari Glacier Trek, although it covers more ground and is more rewarding for hikers. The journey starts in Song and continues through Khati, Loharkhet, Phurkia, and Dwali before arriving to Kafni Glacier. The trekkers are accompanied as they travel along the winding gravel roads by breathtaking views of the Pindari Glacier, lush alpine meadows dotted with wildflowers, and snow-capped peaks kissing the sky. It's difficult to describe this trek's splendour. Although the journey will be quite taxing, the view of the Nandakot (6860 m) and Nandabhnar (6236 m) from the Kafni glacier is well worth the pain and discomfort. Trek to one of the biggest glaciers in the nation and feel the rush. You must pass through a thick subalpine forest. The Kafni River, a tributary of the Pindar River, receives its water from a tiny glacier called Kafni, which is situated in the high Kumaon Himalaya on the southeast side of Nanda Devi. Under the renowned mountain of Nandkot, Kafni is located to the left of Pindar Valley. One may glimpse peaks like Nandakot (6,860 m) and Nandabhnar (6,236 m) from the Kafni glacier.
